Today, with e-waste increasing at an alarming rate, circuit board recycling equipment is becoming a key technology for resource recycling and environmental protection. These seemingly cold mechanical devices actually carry humanity's profound thinking about sustainable development and technological innovation. Modern circuit board recycling equipment typically adopts a multi-process combined treatment method. First, the waste circuit boards are broken down into centimeter-sized fragments by a crusher, and then high-pressure electrostatic sorting technology is used to achieve efficient separation based on the conductivity differences between metals and non-metallic materials. Some advanced equipment also introduces airflow sorting or eddy current sorting devices to further purify metal components. The entire process is carried out in a closed system, equipped with comprehensive dust removal and exhaust gas treatment devices to ensure that harmful substances do not leak out. The core value of these devices lies in transforming waste circuit boards into reusable resources. An ordinary mobile phone circuit board contains about 0.2 grams of gold, 0.1 grams of silver, and a variety of rare metals, with its metal content far exceeding that of primary ores. Through recycling equipment processing, nearly 400 grams of gold, 200 kilograms of copper, and other precious metals can be extracted from each ton of waste circuit boards, while the non-metallic materials generated can also be reused as construction material fillers. In electronic waste processing hubs such as Guiyu in Guangdong and Taizhou in Zhejiang, these devices are changing the traditional workshop-style processing mode. Once upon a time, small workshops relied on outdated processes such as acid washing and incineration, but now they have been replaced by new environmentally friendly enterprises equipped with automated recycling equipment. Not only has the recycling efficiency been improved several times, but also heavy metal pollution and toxic gas emissions have been fundamentally eliminated, allowing the once "e-waste towns" to regain their lush green landscapes. It's worth noting that with the accelerated iteration of electronic products, recycling equipment also needs to be continuously upgraded. Facing new materials such as multilayer boards and flexible circuit boards, researchers are developing new technologies such as laser stripping and supercritical fluid extraction to enable recycling equipment to adapt to more complex product structures and improve resource recovery rates. The development of circuit board recycling equipment is just a microcosm of human technological progress: from the initial simple and crude disassembly to today's fine and environmentally friendly resource regeneration, reflecting our re-examination of the relationship between technology and nature. These roaring machines are not only "refiners" of metal materials, but also "practitioners" of circular economy. In the sound of parts colliding and separating, they play a green melody of resource sustainability.
