Many people cannot tell the difference between a sand making machine and a crusher. In fact, they are completely different in function, discharge size and application.
Crusher: Mainly used for coarse and medium crushing. It processes large raw materials (over 1m in some cases) by extrusion or impact, reducing them into small stones (usually above 5mm). It is the front-end equipment in stone production lines, such as jaw crusher, cone crusher and impact crusher.
Sand Making Machine: Focuses on fine crushing and sand making. It takes smaller materials (usually within 50mm) and processes them into finished sand ≤5mm with good particle shape. It is widely used for manufactured sand and high-quality aggregate production.
In short: Crushers handle large materials; sand makers produce fine sand. They are often used together in a production line—crush first, then make sand, for higher efficiency and better finished products.
