Today, with e-waste increasing at an alarming rate, discarded circuit boards full of components are not only a potential environmental hazard but also a treasure trove of resource recycling. The emergence of water-based recycling equipment is like a precise key that opens a new chapter in the green circular economy. The core of this equipment lies in using physical separation principles to achieve resource recovery. Through multi-stage processes such as crushing and sorting, and hydrocyclone separation, it efficiently separates metals from non-metallic materials. First, the discarded circuit boards are processed into uniform particles by a crusher, then enter the hydrocyclone table, where copper, aluminum, and other precious metals are initially enriched with the help of water flow dynamics and particle density differences. The most critical water-based separation step uses hydrocyclone separation technology. By controlling water flow speed and pressure, metal particles settle while non-metallic fragments float, with separation purity exceeding 98%. The entire system is equipped with an automated control system and a wastewater recycling device, truly achieving clean production. Compared with traditional pyrometallurgical recycling, water-based technology has significant advantages. It eliminates toxic gases such as dioxins produced by incineration and prevents heavy metals from polluting groundwater. Through a closed-loop water treatment system, the water consumption per ton of material can be controlled within 3 tons, far lower than the 10 tons of water consumption standard of early technologies. More amazingly, from 1 ton of discarded mobile phone circuit boards, 300 grams of gold and 100 grams of silver can be extracted, while only 5 grams of gold can be obtained from 1 ton of gold mining, with a resource recovery efficiency increased by 60 times. On the production line of a certain environmental protection enterprise in Jiangsu, this equipment is continuously operating. Every day, 40 tons of circuit board waste are processed continuously for 24 hours, producing 28 tons of non-metallic powder and 12 tons of metal mixtures. The non-metallic powder is used as building modification materials, and the metal mixtures are smelted into copper ingots, gold ingots, and other products. The annual processing capacity of the enterprise reaches 15,000 tons, equivalent to reducing the mining of 2 million tons of raw ore and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 45,000 tons. The gleaming metallic luster on the assembly line is the most vivid footnote of the circular economy. Of course, technological innovation is never-ending. The current research and development direction is upgrading to intelligent sorting, using machine vision to identify different metal particles and combining AI algorithms to optimize sorting parameters. Experimental data from the new nano-bubble flotation technology shows that the gold recovery rate can be further increased by 5 percentage points. These advances are pushing the processing of e-waste from "reduction" to "high value". When we gaze at these blue water-based separation equipment, we see not just cold machinery but also the wisdom of human reconciliation with nature. It uses the power of technology to transform waste into resources, allowing every circuit board to complete the cycle from industrial product to natural gift. On this flowing water line, we seem to see the future of green development where there is no real waste, only treasures in the wrong place.
