The dance of the rotating spiral grooves

In the background noise of the workshop, a spiral chute stood silently. Though its outline was not grand, it possessed a sinuous shape that spiraled up and down, silent like a meticulously carved ritual. When heavy ores quietly flowed in through the feeding pipe, the spiral chute seemed to awaken instantly. The viscous slurry, mixed with dark brown clay, flowed like a slowly awakening stream, carrying a heavy breath as it slid down the spiral curve. It passed over the slightly convex arc of the inner circle and down the cleverly designed downward slope from the center. The slurry seemed to spiral down chaotically, yet every inch of its flow carried precise traction forces—centrifugal force and gravity acting like invisible yet gentle hands. At the bottom of the chute, they calmly swirled, gently brushing past the slurry's microscopic particles of varying densities in their tumultuous spin. Thus, miracles were born in the spiral. Lightweight gangue particles, like autumn's withered leaves, were flung to the outer edge of the spiral by centrifugal force, unable to settle. Meanwhile, heavy minerals containing copper and iron quietly condensed and settled. These might be dark red drops of copper and iron filings, or tiny grains of black ore. Guided by gravity, they moved silently toward the inner edge of the spiral, skimming along the fine track laid at the bottom of the chute, as if carrying out some unwavering mission. At the outer edge, there was a chaotic farewell, lightweight and insignificant; at the inner circle, there was a submerged undercurrent, carrying precious secrets forward. As the slurry flowed along the spiral path, it became increasingly clear. Things of different densities gradually separated and diverged. It was no longer chaotic. The centrifugal force silently sifted through this turbulent river. Finally, when the swirling slurry reached the end of the spiral, the inner and outer parts had separated clearly. Precious minerals, like shy treasures, gathered into delicate sorting funnels and quietly converged; while no longer useful tailings were ejected by the tailings pipe, like a dragon's head completing its natural exhalation. After the sorting was completed, the spiral chute fell into temporary silence. The water flowed in the spiral track and then disappeared. All that remained were the lingering auras and droplets of water on the inner wall of the rotating spiral chute, silently testifying to the miracle that had just unfolded in the whirlwind—through invisible physical magic, the clear order of valuable particles was sought and precisely sorted out from the chaotic vortex.
