Copper Recovery/Extraction Process
1. Waste Liquid Collection and Pretreatment
Waste Liquid Collection: Copper-containing waste liquid is collected from the micro-etching process.
Pretreatment: Remove solid impurities and other interfering substances in the waste liquid.
 
2. Copper Recovery
Copper is extracted by electrolysis or chemical precipitation.

 

Electrolysis

Preparation: Pre-treated waste liquid is introduced into the electrolyzer.
Electrolysis: An electric current is applied to reduce the copper ions in the waste stream to metallic copper at the cathode, where an inert material is usually used for the anode.
Collection of copper: Copper deposited on the cathode can be periodically removed and further processed.
 

Chemical Precipitation

Precipitant addition: A precipitant (e.g., hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, etc.) is added to the waste stream to convert the copper ions to insoluble copper compounds (e.g., copper sulfides).

3. Separation and Concentration
Solid-liquid Separation

Concentration and Refining
