Japan Import Certification
PSE certification: According to the Electrical Appliance Safety Law, lead-acid batteries used for fixed equipment (such as energy storage) must comply with JIS C 8707 standards and apply for circular PSE certification (non-specific electrical appliances); If used for car starting, JIS D 5301 standard and diamond PSE certification are required. Circular certification can be completed through Japanese accredited testing institutions such as China Electric Research Institute CVC and TUV Rheinland.
METI Filing: After completing PSE certification, the importer in Japan needs to submit a filing to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), providing a PSE certificate, business license, and guarantee statement. The filing is valid for 3 years.
Environmental regulations: Japan's Resource Efficient Utilization Promotion Act requires exporters to ensure compliance with lead-acid battery recycling and disposal plans, which may require signing agreements with local recycling companies in Japan.
China Export License
Dangerous goods packaging identification: Lead acid batteries belong to Class 8 corrosive substances (UN2800), and it is necessary to apply for the "Identification Results Form for the Use of Outbound Dangerous Goods Transport Packaging" (Dangerous Goods Certificate) from the local customs, and provide the UN38.3 test report (simulated transportation environment test).
Export License: According to the Catalogue of Goods Subject to Export License Management, the export of lead-acid batteries requires applying for a license from the Ministry of Commerce or local issuing agencies, submitting contracts, quota documents (if any), and testing reports
