In terms of value and market competitiveness, Jiangxi Mingxin’s recycled lead has been supplied to some domestic lead-acid battery enterprises and has entered the field of new energy energy storage batteries. The energy storage batteries made from its recycled lead have an 8%-10% lower cost compared to those made from primary lead in scenarios such as distributed photovoltaic power generation and base station backup power supplies. According to industry calculation standards, with an annual processing capacity of 150,000 tons of waste lead-acid batteries, the enterprise can reduce lead ore mining by 240,000 tons, save 36,000 mu (2,400 hectares) of mine land, cut energy consumption by 82%, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 2.3 tons per ton of waste batteries processed. In terms of pricing, market data in April 2025 showed that the average price of primary lead in China was 17,140 yuan/ton, while the average price of refined recycled lead was 17,015 yuan/ton. Leveraging its annual production capacity of 120,000 tons of recycled lead and smelting energy consumption of 125 kg of standard coal per ton of lead (18% lower than the industry average), the enterprise’s product price is 50-80 yuan/ton lower than the market average price of refined recycled lead. Additionally, it is eligible for a 50% immediate refund of value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with relevant policies, reducing annual taxes by over 20 million yuan. As of April 2025, its order fulfillment rate stood at 98%.
In terms of compliance and market layout, the overall recycling rate of Jiangxi Mingxin’s crushing and recycling technology can meet the access requirement of over 95% material recycling rate for lead-acid batteries specified in the EU (EU) 2025/606 Regulation. The enterprise has also established a full-process traceability system covering "waste battery recycling - production and processing - finished product output," and the indicators of its recycled lead comply with the EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) and REACH Regulation (EC No. 1907/2006). Based on industry context—including Statista’s forecast that the global recycled lead market scale will reach 22.294 billion US dollars by 2032, and data from the China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association showing that China’s recycled lead output accounts for 47% of the country’s total lead output (making it the world’s largest producer of recycled lead)—the enterprise is advancing the sales of crushing and recycling equipment and technical cooperation. Currently, its independently developed crushing and recycling equipment holds a 50% share of the domestic market and has been exported to countries such as Singapore and Malaysia.
